Who we are
This website is operated by Gearpimp Ltd ("Gearpimp", "we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this site. You can contact us about privacy at info@gearpimp.com.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, or that is needed to run the site:
- Enquiries — your name, email, phone number and message when you use the contact or sell / trade forms.
- Orders — your name, contact details, delivery address and the items you order.
- Accounts — your name, email and a securely hashed password, plus any delivery details you save.
- Newsletter — your email address if you subscribe.
- Feedback — your name, role and comments if you submit a testimonial.
We never collect card details on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiries and give you the information you ask for.
- To process, confirm and deliver your orders.
- To manage your account and show your order history.
- To send occasional emails about new arrivals, only if you have subscribed.
- To publish testimonials, only where you have given permission.
We process this information to perform our contract with you, to respond to your requests, with your consent (for marketing and testimonials), and for our legitimate interest in running the business.
Cookies & local storage
We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect our forms from misuse. Your cart, wishlist and recently viewed items are stored in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us until you place an order. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to fulfil your order — for example with a courier to deliver your equipment — or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and order records for as long as needed to deal with your request and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated information at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
